Sheldon graduated last month with his MBA (masters in Business). He has been attending college for 6 years, ever since I knew him. I was such a proud wife a even shed a few tears. He is such a smarty pants. His dad came from Canada to visit and attend the graduation ceremony. Congrats babe!!!

Preschool Program

Addilyn had her preschool end of the year spring program the first week in June. I cannot believe how much she has learned. She loves schoool so much that we registered her for summer school so that she can continue to learn. She brings such joy to my life and I enjoy watching her grow and become interest in many things. She loves to stay busy with Dance, Swimming lessons, School, and the waterpark.

I married my best friend!!!! I cant believe how fast 5 years have gone. There is not a day go by that I dont think how blessed I am to have him in my life. He is the most patient, hard working, loving husband and father that I could ever wish for. I look forward to our future together and the many memories to come. For those of you that know us, know that my hubby travels a TON! There are time that I feel like a single mom. It is very challenging but also very rewarding. Sheldon is very smart and very dedicated to both his family and his career. He knows how to juggle it all and make it all happen. He has been at his job for 1 1/2 years now and is very successful in his career. He knows how to blow people away and how to make others feel good inside. He does not judge others he listens to others even if there is a language barrier and people are drawn to him. He has met so many people and traveled so many places he never would have. He recently was featured in his company magazine while training at their corporate office in Germany. I was so excited but not surprised when he brought home this plaque from a conference in Arizona. He received this award out of hundreds of people, and had no idea it was coming. Seeing him so excited about these things is what makes those days alone so worth it.

When we moved into our new house Addilyn got her own room with a big girl bed. Isnt it so cute! Sheldon or "World Traveler" as we call him, went to Germany back in November to his company factory. I was amazed with the pictures that he brought back and thought that I would share some. He is going back there next month and is really excited to visit there again.

Finally an Update!

Wow it has been a crazy summer here in the Stanford home. We have had the opportunity to do so many fun things and spend lots of time with family. Here is a little update on what we have been up to.

Addilyn is such a good big sis and is maturing and growing faster everyday. She loves McKarlee and watches out for her. The first thing she ask for in the morning is where Karlee is. She loves running through the sprinkler, playing with friends, swimming, coloring, singing songs, playing with daddy, puppies, talking to grandma on the phone, and of course she my child so she enjoys eating.

McKarlee is such a sweet baby. She is almost 4 months but seem so much older. She is soooooo smiley and loves to scream at the top of her lungs to get your attention. She also loves to swim, play with toys, laugh at Addilyn, and take baths. She sleeps through the night and loves to snuggle with mommy. I couldn't ask for a better baby.

We just got back from a 3 week vacation to visit Sheldons family in Canada. We not only went to visit family but Sheldon's uncle passed away and so it was very important to us to attend his funeral. It was a beautiful funeral full of lots of tears and we will miss him very much. We had so much fun playing with cousins and I still cannot believe how quickly it went by. On our 16 hours drive home we stopped at Fairmont hot springs resort in Montana and enjoyed a few days with just our little family.

We left to Canada in such a hurry that we forgot our camera behind so I have no pictures for this post but I am getting a new camera soon so I will be posting new pictures.

Our lives have been blessed by 3 great fathers!

The father of my children and my best friend- Sheldon is a wonderful father. His kids love him and love to be spoiled by him everyday. His family always comes first and he makes sure that they are well taken care of before he even thinks about himself. He likes to have fun and enjoy the outdoors with his family. I love Sheldon more then I could ever imagine and my kids think the world of him. Love ya babe!

My Father- taught me the importnance of saftey and hard work. I find myself using the lesson that he taught me on a daily basis. He is kind and understanding and loves my kids as much as I do.

Sheldon's Father- Gentle and funny! When he talks to his grandchildren it is so cute. I am so greatful for the example that he has been to Sheldon and I know that Sheldon is a good father because Dwight was and is a good father to him.

We Are Not Moving!!!

When we originally moved here our plans were not very set and we didn’t think that we would stay here very long. But with things going so well with Sheldon’s job and with us getting comfy with our place we have decided to stay where we are. We have had a ton of people asking us if we are moving, but the answer is NO, we are here to stay.

I am entering my 37th week of pregnancy and let me tell you I am so ready for this baby to come. I’m feeling so good she probably will stay in there till we make her come out.

My family came to visit this last weekend and we had soooooooooo much fun. It was so nice to have them all here. We went shopping, ate a lot of good food, watched Twilight, and just hung out. I miss not having them close by and I was really sad when they all left. Hope they come visit me again soon or I can go visit them once this little baby comes.

Sickness

Have you ever been so sick that you want to die? So imagine that and then having contractions along with it. Well this is what fun thing I got to deal with this weekend. We went out to eat at olive garden friday and about midnight that night I started throwing up and other things. Anyways 12 hours later I told Sheldon that I was going to die and that I needed to go to the hospital. So I go to labor and delivery they hook me up on the monitors and sure enough I am contracting. I was so dehydrated so they gave me and IV and some medicine which slowed the contractions. I still am not feeling 100% but I found out it is the flu that caused all this, not food poisening. Which I was glad to hear because I love olive garden. So today Sheldon woke up sick and he said that he has no idea how I got through yesterday having contaction with everything else. Anyways I just wanna say that I am so much more greatful for health and will be taking it easy for a few more week so this little girl doesnt come to soon.

So I had my ultrasound yesterday morning and since Sheldon was working I had them put the gender picture in an envelope to open later that night. I was positive it was going to be a boy and Sheldon was sure it was a girl. I was so suprised to find that it is a girl. I thought it would be a boy because I have felt totally diffrent this time around. We decided before we opened it that we really didnt care as long as it is a healthy baby. I am sooooooooo excited to be a mommy to two little girls. It will be nice to not have to buy much since we have all Addilyn's stuff. Anyways we still dont have any names picked out, but we are so happy!

Oh I just love being a mom. She is so fun and is getting so smart. I feel like the things that I have been working on with her are starting to pay off. She is getting really good at signing too. She can sign milk, hungry, and mommy. I had some recommendation from people to teach her some basic sign language and I am so happy with it because she can tell me what she wants instead of getting fustrated. I would totally reccomend it to everyone.

A Place To Call Home

So I have not posted in forever! We have been so busy moving and trying to get somewhat settled in our new place. We are loving life right now and feel like we have be so blessed the last couple of months. Sheldon's job is going great and he is really picking the area up fast. Addilyn is getting to be such a big girl and loves to sing songs and read books. My belly is growing very fast and I am already 15 weeks. We find out in four weeks what we are having and we are really excited.

Birthday and a Secret

We celebrated Addilyn's first birthday last Sunday even though her birthday is today. Here are some adorable pictures that Sherelle took of her eating her cake.

We are also excited to announce that we are going to have another baby. Yep its true Addilyn is going to be a big sister. I am due on April 15, 2009. The kids will be exactly 18 months apart. I have been a little more sick with this baby then the last but I am starting to feel better now. We will find out in 2 months what we are having.

Moving back to Idaho???

Thats right the rumor are true we are moving back home to Idaho. Sheldon has a wonderful job offer in Boise and he starts in a week. Scary you ask? Yes maybe a little considering we have no family in Boise, but we are so excited to move on with life after college. I know that our family in Canada really wanted us to stay there but we really think this is the right place for us right now. Dont worry guys we will come visit lots, you know I cant live without poutine for too long. So we have so much to do in the next week. Like move, unpack, celebrate Addilyn's birthday and get situated before Sheldon flys out for a week. Craziness here we come!!!!!!!!!!!

Life in Canada

Sheldon graduated from BYU-I in July with his bachelors degree. We are so proud of him!

This is the BEST unhealthy food out there. It is called POUTINE and you have not lived until you tried it. It is one of the most popular dishes in canada. You can get it at Costco, Burger King, KFC, Dairy Queen and just about any other place in Canada. Canadians love to dip their fries in gravy, in fact when you order fries at a restraunt they give you gravy not ketchup. So they take fries drench them in gravy and mozzarella cheese curds. OHHHHHHHHH it sooooooooooo good.

Addilyn is 11 months now!

- She is not afraid of people anymore

- She can pull herself up and stand for a while

- She is finally growing some hair, it is still as blonde as can be

- She has 12 teeth, including her 2 year molars

- She loves to play with her cousin Declan and follow him everywhere he goes

- She still does not sleep through the night

- She is a spitfire and Sheldon said last night that she is going to be just like our neice Lily who used to scream at the top of her lungs

These last few weeks have been so stressful and they are about to get even more stressful. Sheldon and I are strongly considering moving back to Canada. I LOVE Canada and all of our family there but I am going to miss my family and being an American. I remeber the first time I went to Canada Sheldon told me that we would have to get on dog sleds at the border. Little did I know that the part of Canada he is from is just like the states. Im so excited that Sheldon is graduting and I am so proud. I cant wait to start our new life together and say Eh all the time.

Wow what a crazy summer this has been. We go from freezing cold weather to hot weather all in about a week. I cant believe how fast Addilyn is growing. I just got back from the doctor and Addi has the cold and stomache flu. Looks like we will be staying in doors for a few days. The thing that shocked me most about the visit was that she already weighs 17 pounds. She is such a cute little monkey I hope she feels better soon.

White Chocolate-Orange Dream Cookies

I made these last night, and now they are my new favorite cookie!

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

2/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar

1/2 cup sugar

1 large egg

1 Tablespoon grated orange rind

Half an oranges juice

2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 teaspoon salt

1 package white chocolate chips

Preparation

Beat first 3 ingredients at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Add egg, orange rind, and juice from orange, beating util blended.

Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to sugar mixture, beating just until blended after each addition. Stir in 2 cups (or I love chocolate so I add the whole bag) white chocolate chips. Roll into balls. Bake at 350 for 10 min.

Yeild 3 1/2 dozen. (Tust me I thought that was alot too, until I saw how many were left this morning)

I cant believe that my great grandma is 99 today! She has been such a special person in my life. I grew up right next store to her, and not only was she my grandma but a special friend too. I hold so many memories with her and of her. I will always remember going to her home after school to have a snack and look at pictures. Grandma taught me how to be polite and helpful around the home. She is such a sweetheart. I hope that she will make it to 100 years!

A special person on my mind

When I first heard the new about President Hinkley I was sure that it was a roomer. But after looking at a few of utahs new channels I found it to be true. Sherelle and I were talking this morning about what a neat man he was. Not only was he our phrophet, but he felt like a friend even though we did not personally know him. It was so easy to trust him, because of the spirit he brought to the room when he spoke. He had a special way about him that he conveyed to the whole world. He never acted too intelligent or to molly too those he spoke to. He had a special way of answering religious questions to those of other faiths. I believe that he did truly love us all. I dont think this is a time to morn, he lived a great life, and he is now with his wife. He has been a great example of the truth to me.

We just got back from a really good concert! Their name is Leahy and they are 8 amazingly talented brothers and sisters from Canada. Our Holidays in Canada

We decided to go to Sheldons home in Canada this Christmas. It had been over a year since we visited, and we wanted to meet the new cousins. We had so much fun and ate way to much. We did so many things including visiting, rock climbing, laser tag, shopping, eating, snowboarding, going to the farm, hunting, going to church, and seeing exteneded family. Baby Addi loves her blankie! Ever since I was little I had to have my blankie by my face when i took a nap, and I still do. Its so funny because Addilyn likes it too.

I am counting down the days till we go to Canada. It has been a pain getting ready and making sure we have all the passports done. Starting January 1st you have to have a passport to drive from the states to Canada. Since we are planning on coming home the second week in January we all have to have passports to get back in the states. I cannot believe how expensive the passports are!!! Oh well, my husband is from there and we plan on visiting alot so I guess we would have to have them anyways.

Ready For Christmas

Little miss Addilyn is all ready for Christmas. For Christmas we got her a few toys and a passport so that she can go to Canada and meet all her family. There are two other new babies in the family that we still have not met. I cannot believe how fast she is growing. She already weight 12 12 and she is only 2 1/2 month old.

Puddle of spit up

I left Addilyn on the bed for a few minutes and when I came back this is what I found............the largest puddle of spit up I have ever seen. I had to double check to confirm that it was not pee, and trust me it was milk. We have been telling everyone how much she spits up and they all tell us it is totally normal. I am still concerned because she doesnt eat very much and then she spits is all up.

So my poor husband has got to listen to me blab about how excited I am for Hollister to open up on December 6th. Call me crazy but I cannot wait. It is preppy young clothes, but hey i am still only 21 and even though I am a mom, I can still feel young right? Sheldon teases me all the time about being the typical Idaho girl, but you know what .............. I am from Idaho and I like doing things the Idaho way. Iam already planning on being at hollister on opening day.

1. I have to have something to look forward to all the time

Thanksgiving

I cant believe that it is already Thanksgiving. I cant wait for all the yummy food and just being around all my family. Sheldon and I decided that we would spend this Thanksgiving with my family in Idaho and Christmas with his family in Cananda. My favorite things to eat on thanksgiving are the mashed potatoes, pie, salad, veggies, and rolls. I have never been a big fan of turkey and ham! It's not that I am a vegaterian, I just would rather fill up on the good stuff. So I was thinking of some this that I am thankful for this year. Here is a list-

Addilyn Blessing

I love this photo my big sis Sherelle took of us on Addilyn's blessing day ( 3 weeks ago). It seem just like the other day that we found out we were expecting, and now she is 7 weeks old. I have enjoyed every second of being a mom. I think that I am finally getting the hang of it. Sometimes it is hard to wake up in the middle of the night and feed her, but when she looks up at me and smiles it makes me melt. I feel so blessed to have such a happy, healthy baby girl.

Sheldon has the week off from school for Thanksgiving, so we have been spending alot of time togather. I am looking forward to going to the day after thanksgiving sales in Idaho Falls. Sheldon being from Canada, has never had the experience of getting up at 4am to get some good deals. Boy oh boy is he in for a treat. I actually think he is excited to just stand around and watch all the people fight over things.
